The last time we visited uncle Ted was Thanksgiving of 2023. We called ahead to make sure it’d be OK if we visited and he warned us that it was gonna be a work Saturday and that he needed to brand the calves. We rode in Ted‘s truck as he drove out to the ranch in the dark that morning. He was so proud of the land and provided all kinds of detail which was difficult to see because of the dim light. Hours later, after all the calves have been branded by Ted he asked Fred to check the amount of cash in an envelope that he was going to use to pay the Cowboys that worked that day? It was a good day. Everyone, cowboy and family, was treated to lunch at a Mexican restaurant.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I can’t think of a finer individual than Ted Johnson. As our family neighbor for many years on Douglas Street, I always loved seeing him while growing up and giving him a hug when I would come back to visit my family during college and after I moved to San Antonio. He always cared about people and was kind to all. He’s going to be missed tremendously but I know I’m grateful for lots of fun memories of him and proud to say I knew him for many years.
