Tanner Bryan Seedig was born on April 8, 1994, and went to Heaven on November 30, 2008. Tanner had the brightest smile and his love of life shined in everything he did. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was active in school as a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Treasurer of the Student Council. He also played football and tennis. At church, he was a member of CLIFF, the church youth group, and played softball in the church league. In the community, he had played hockey, and served as a Permian Basin Fair and Expo Junior Board Member. Tanner was a hard working student and had good grades for his efforts. He enjoyed camping with his family and loved to cook. He especially liked to make his Nana's pound cake, and would do so upon request.Tanner was confirmed in May of 2008. His confirmation verse was 1 Peter 5:8; "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."Tanner is survived by his mother and step-father, Lori and Marcus Hostas, of Midland; his father and step-mother, Connis and Kittye Seedig, of Weatherford; one brother, Tyler B. Seedig of Midland; three step brothers, Jarret L. Hostas of Wichita Falls, Corey R. Hostas, of Midland, and Blake Bedinger of Lubbock; one step-sister, Rachel Bedinger of Weatherford; his grandparents, Brad and Doris Roberts of Odessa and George and Fern Seedig, of Throckmorton; his step-grandparents, Feiona Hostas of Seymour, Texas and John and Londa Branson of Roby, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Pase and Pastor Ken Watson, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, December 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 3000 W. Golf Course Road.The family suggests memorials be made to the Parkland Foundation-Burn Center, 2777 N Stemmons Freeway, Suite 1700, Dallas, Texas 75235 or to the Permian Basin Fair Scholarship, 218 W 46th Street, Odessa, Texas 79762.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. My Prayers and care to the Seedig Family. Tanner was the funniest friend i had ever met! He was always joking and of course smiling. He was a great fan for the girls Freshman basketball team, he came to almost every game. We will all miss him and know that he's in the best paradise ever! I am a former Midlander, and read the newspaper online. I read about Tanner, and I want you to know how his story and his picture touched my heart. I too have lost a son, so I know the pain and the grief. Tanner will never be forgotten by any who knew him. He is touching others even in death, so he will live on in memories. I will always remember Tanner as a little mini-Tyler who would come to all of the class celebrations in First Grade at Mary Martin Elementary. Their relationship was so special even at that young age. Connis has helped me keep up with their llives through the years. My heart goes out to you, Lori and Connis. I can still remember all of the cute things you told us about Tanner and Tyler when they were little. Tanner was a special young man who will be missed by everyone. Dear Lori & Connis, My heart broke yesterday as I opened our local paper, I couldn't believe my eyes. The two of you and your beautiful boys have always been such a blessing to us whenever our paths crossed. Lori, I still remember our conversations on the bleachers during Little League games and boy scout meetings. I have often thought back on our discussions of church denominations and the main desire to build our children's lives on the one sure foundation of Christ Jesus. From what I have read on the internet about Tanner, I am blessed to see that you did indeed give Tanner the only gift that matters, the gift of introducing him to and nourishing his faith in Christ Jesus. Tanner knows Christ and that makes all the difference for Tanner now and for all of you in the midst of your pain. Keep the faith Lori. Keep the faith Connis. Keep the faith Kittye. Im sorry for your loss!! I wish i could be at the funeral, but i have to do wat tanner loved to do...(play hockey).. i have taped one of my sticks up with white tape and have gotten most of the junior jacks to sign it... It will be taken to the funeral home on friday... IM SOO SORRY!!!! :(

I cannot even begin to feel your pain for the loss of this beautiful young man, but I can tell you that he is with Jesus, who is holding him very close. my heart is breaking for y'all. What a great kid Tanner was. I will always remember him as being such a delight and joy to be around. He was so nice and goofy (in such a wonderful way). And I loved his little shy smile especially when he was doing something a little out of his comfort zone (cute little teenage girls would get him every time). I remember when Tina said she was "going out" with Tanner in 6th grade. She is pretty picky with the boys, so I asked why she said yes to Tanner. She said it was because he was so nice and made her laugh. He was just a good guy to hang around and I agreed. He was a blast in tennis and at school.
