Suzanne Hart Greany We mourn the passing of our beloved Sue Greany, March 13, 2003 in Midland, after a lengthy illness. Sue was born January 5, 1925 in Waterbury, Conneticut to Walter and Margaret Hart and received her early education at Saint Magaret's School. She later attended Vassar College, where she earned her bachlelors degree with a double major in Math and Science. After graduation, she worked in advertising in New York City, where she met her future husband, Alfred Garfield Greany, a practicing attorney with Price Waterhouse. They were married in San Antonio in 1951, relocating to Midland in 1956. Sue was a public school teacher with M.I.S.D. for many years. In addition, she was a life time member of the Greenwich, Conneticut Junior League. While in Midland, she was actively involved in M.A.R.C., Opportunity Center, Head Start, Mid-AMI, American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and The Republican Party. Mrs. Greany was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Alfred, and is survived by her three children, a daughter Martha Greany Derington and husband Ron of Midland, son Thomas Hart Greany of Midland, son Freddy Greany and wife Arleeta of Marble Falls, Texas and two grandchildren, Patrick Greany, and Melissa Greany of Marble Falls, Texas. Mrs. Greany is also survived by her sister Lois Sammis of San Antonio, Texas and her brother Walter Hart and wife Sally of Avon, Conneticut, and many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, 3300 N. Big Spring St., Midland, Texas.
