Dear Evans Family, Though my actual time spent with Susie was short as we lived in Midland just two years, my memories of her begin with a warm smile and a genuine feeling of being welcome. She helped me hunt down the highly coveted beanie babies with Susan Granberry for my daughter and their grandkids, she always seemed to have a sense of fun about her. I know she will be missed greatly by all of you who have loved her so dearly. We will pray for your hearts to mend as you sew them back together with beautiful memories of your wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Evans Family: I was principal at Midland Freshman High School when Lisa was a student on that campus. Ms. Evans led a group of parents that served as the Executive Committee (she was president). Her care and concern for all of God’s children was evident and the PTA moms provided countless events serving students and staff on my campus. Her “can do” attitude was exemplified in being a faithful servant to all. Rest In Peace Ms Evans. You did good!

Dearest Don and Peggy, my heart breaks for y’all and all of your family at this time. It was such an honor taking care of y’all’s mother and meeting you all and for your generosity to me. Susie is shining bright in heaven as she did here on earth.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Blessings to Susan's loving family and friends. We never met, but we had much in common. I (also a Susan) was born three months earlier to a physician father. In sixth grade, I was a Safety Patrol Officer farthest from elementary school (three blocks). We married on the same day, and celebrated our 50th anniversaries last year on August 1, 2020. My nephew died of Scleroderma. MD Anderson Cancer Center is receiving a memorial in her name from Bob and me.

Don: Saddened to hear of Susie's death. Your Dad sent me this photo of the family at Sea Isle in June, 2000. Sam and Betty had much of which to be proud in their lives; but, I know that Susie and family were the most important. Sam's comment with the "pic" was that Bethany was in medical school. I'm sure you have the photo; but, I enclose it for family members who may not. Our condolences. Joe and Marialice Shaffer Lakeway, Texas
