Susan Lynn Deyo Wright of Midland passed away on February 3, 2022, and was finally able to meet Jesus face to face.
Suzy was born to Raymond and Catherine Deyo on August, 23, 1945, in Hempstead, NY. She was raised in Hempstead and later Scottsdale, Arizona, where she enjoyed the best childhood.
In 1966 Suzy married Jim Lindquist and gave birth to two daughters, Debbie Sue and Beverly Ann. In 1972 she married Jerome Noleen and gave birth to daughter, Susan Marie, and gained two bonus kids Jerome John and April Diane.
In 1979 she left Arizona and moved to Midland, Texas, to raise her five children as a determined, single mother working two jobs to provide for her family. In 1992 she married David Wright. She took pride in her job as a waitress for the Club Granada and her 20 years of service at Furr’s Cafeteria. She had the best work ethic of anyone her family knew. She had many customers, who over the years, became great friends. In 2018 when she retired, she began attending Crestview Baptist Church and immediately thought of it as “her church.” Suzy loved the Lord, her sister, kids, grandkids and great-grands very much. Suzy was one of a kind with a spunky, no-nonsense, personality. She was generous, loved playing the slot machines and was always available to sit and have a beer!
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David, her son, Jerome Noleen, and daughters April Noleen-Chavez and Beverly Lindquist. She is survived by her sister, Dottie Wharton, of Scottsdale, AZ; her daughters Debbie Baxter (Gary), and Sue Noleen, of Midland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber Williams (Michael), Chase Beltramo, Justin Nolen (Aimee), Christopher Nolen (Natalie), Casey Nolen (Heather), Natasha Nett (Nicholas), and Faith Andrade and 22 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Crestview Baptist Church, with Dr. John Gerlach officiating.
Arrangements are under the directions of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
