Steve was the oldest boy cousin, I was the youngest. That meant we got to do boy stuff at the family gatherings. Steve was the one with the sense of humor; he made everything an adventure. We will miss Steve. Judy, our prayers are with you and and your family. Kent, Karen and Stacey Smith of Broomfield, Colorado

Steve was a character back when we were growing up and I will never forget him. As an adult, he was much more reserved but always had a big smile and hug whenever I saw him at family gatherings. Judy, again, you Christmas card was the first to arrive this year. Thank you for being the first light of the season. My heart goes out to you during this transition time. Be gentle with yourself. chris

What fun we had when Steve came to visit. He was always good for some excitement, especially when we were all at Uncle Ora and Aunt Thelma's farm. His faithful first Christmas card of the season reminding us that it is all about Jesus, was an inspiration for years. Judy, we have you in our prayers.

What fun Steve and I had growing up! We always looked forward to family times. It was our job to corral all those younger cousins. It depends on who you talk to how successful we were. Steve loved family gatherings ......... even a recently as last week. He did have the devotion of his sisters and I know from visiting he had a whole support system within Judy's family, too. His life was cut way too short, but we must believe God is in charge of the plans for each of us.
