Steve Longoria Subia Sr., 63 of Odessa, Texas, passed away on May 10, 2026. A visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on May 14th, 2026, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on May 15th, 2026, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
Steve Subia Sr. was born on August 1st, 1962 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Selzo Montez Subia Sr. & Maria Longoria Leyja. Steve graduated from Midland High School, Midland, TX, class of 1980. He spent most of his life working as a dedicated crane operator but his true passion and lifelong dream was to serve in the United State Marine Corps. In 1987, he fulfilled that dream, serving with honor and pride. During his 8- year term, he served as an Aircraft Mechanic. He was deployed to Desert Storm and other places around the globe on multiple occasions, with assignments in places like Japan, Kuwait, and beyond. He was adevoted husband, happily married to his wife, Lorenza Alarcon Subia, for 40 years, and a loving father to two sons, Steve Subia Jr. & Jesse Subia. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Jaycee Subia, Koda Subia & Danny Subia, whom he adored. He loved his family deeply and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, with a passion for every touchdown and game. His love for his family and his team was unmatched.
Steve Subia Sr. is survived by his wife, Lorenza Subia, two sons, Steve Subia Jr. & Jesse Subia, three brothers, Gabriel (Blanca) Subia, Rudy (Carol) Subia, Daniel (Stephanie) Subia, all of Midland, three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve Subia Sr. is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Longoria Leyja, father, Selzo Montez Subia Sr., one brother, J.R. Subia, and one sister, Silvia Subia-Garcia.
