Steve Louis Karman, 83, of Midland, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Manor Park. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the funeral home. He was born on December 15, 1928, in Cadiz, Ohio to Steve and Helen Karman. He married Beverly on December 15, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. Steve was a volunteer at Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for over 20 years. He served as the first and only male President for the term 2010-2011. He was self-employed with his wife, where they owned Karman's West 80 Shell Station, retiring in 1992. Survivors include his three daughters, Marcia Erwin and husband, Earl; Tricia Pinedo and husband, Fernando; Teena Robbins and husband, Brad; all of Midland; one son, Steve Karman, Jr., and wife, Debra of Hixson, Tennessee; son-in-law, Joe Wojcik of Erie, Michigan, 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 due in February. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly and daughter, Debbie Wojcik.
