Stanley Alan Loyd, 59, of Temple, Texas formerly of Midland, Texas went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 15, 2012, in Temple. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel, with George Koehl, officiating. He was born on December 12, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to Loye Loyd and Barbara Ray Loyd. Stan graduated from Lee High School in 1971 and then went on to attend Oral Roberts University from 1971 to 1974. After college Stan worked for the family business, Glasco Glass Company. He had a passion for sports, including the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech football. He loved living in the Hill Country and traveling every year to meet his daughters in Fredericksburg, Texas to get fresh peaches. He was a car lover and enjoyed cruising in his shiny new BMW. Stan lived in Temple for 14 years and was retired from Bell Glass and Mirror as a fabricator. He was Daddi-o to his daughters, and granddad to his granddaughter, Preslea. Stan was very supportive and always optimistic, being a man of few words. He was a good listener and was always an encourager. He lived his life for his girls and was their best friend. He had a strong bond with Jeff Gressett, Ashleys boyfriend. Stan will be greatly missed and in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Loyd and Krystal Loyd; his granddaughter, Preslea Kate Tindle; his parents, Loye & Barbara Loyd; and his brother, Terry Loyd and wife Nancy; and a nephew, Blake Loyd; all of Midland.
