I remember Porky from the days when my grandmother, Hattie Parker, worked at the nursing home as I was a little girl. All throughout growing up, I can remember Porky had a welcoming smile for everyone who came into the care center and was alway ready to shake your hand. Considering the circumstances, he always seemed glad to see you when you came in the door. He will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to have their days lit by the warmth of his smile.

I have many happy memories of spending time at the Britton home playing with Fran and Porky. Porky was a special friend from early elementary school through high school -sometimes a "boyfriend" but always a friend. After Jr. High we spent time together in 4-H, church and just being around. He was the star of our Jr(I think) play and always added his special touch to whatever he did. At one of our class reunions a group of us were looking at pictures from high school and trying to remember who everyone was - if we couldn't remember, Porky could. When I was in Stanton visiting I'd go to the nursing home with Sara & Cork for the Sunday services and he would make me feel special with his reaction. Although I didn't see him ofter he was in my thoughts a lot and he will be missed. Fran and Cindy, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
