Sonora Ineta Murphey Honey died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at the Sterling County Nursing Home. She was born at home on November 28, 1916 in Bosque County to E.R. and Minnie Elizabeth Murphey. She is last of 14 children. She married Albert Houston (Bud) Honey on December 3, 1949. He passed away on January 16, 1994.She had lived in Big Spring since 1941. Sonora owned Honey Tax Service, Inc. and worked there until alzheimers forced her retirement in 1999.She is survived by two daughters, Denise Meador and husband, Sam of Odessa and Janice Grifford and husband, James of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Christi Hickman and husband, Mike of Odessa, Stacy Meador and wife, Maria of Richardson and Jennifer Shaw and husband, Wes of Goldsmith; four great grandchildren, Samantha Leverett and husband, Caleb and Landon Wimberly and wife, Jennifer all of Odessa and Lexi Meador and Sean Arthur Meador both of Richardson.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ralph Anderson, minister of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ, officiating.
