McPeak; her beloved sister, Sharon Elaine McPeak Battistoli; and her cherished husband, Ernest Carl Martinez, Jr., who passed away on November 19, 2016. Shirley and Ernest shared 15 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and devotion.
For 10 years, Shirley was a dedicated employee of West Texas National Bank, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of her coworkers through her strong work ethic, dependability, and warm spirit. She will be remembered by those who worked alongside her for her kindness, loyalty, and willingness to help others.
Shirley found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially the companionship of her beloved dog, Loudee, who brought her comfort, happiness, and unconditional love. She treasured her family and friends and appreciated the quiet moments spent with those she loved most.
Shirley is survived by her niece, Christa Battistoli-Ferguson; her nephews, Michael Battistoli and Matthew Battistoli; along with other loving family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those who went before her and asks that those who knew and loved Shirley honor her memory in their own personal way.
Though her passing was unexpected, Shirley’s gentle spirit, kind heart, and the love she shared with family, friends, and her faithful companion Loudee will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
