Shirley Ditto, 88, of Lubbock, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Deacon Mike Moates, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Shirley was born July 28, 1936 in Graham, Texas to parents Roy Newton Cearley and Katie Mae Grisham. Shirley graduated from Coahoma High School. She married Alton Delma Ditto June 12, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for McCann Butane, Taylor Implement, Honea Implement and RealEstate Shop. She was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School (4 & 5 year olds) for over 50 years and also taught the same ages in VBS as well. She had been a Texas Notary Public for over 40 years.
Shirley is survived by her two sons: Doyle (Sheryl) Ditto and Donnie (Melissa) Ditto; grandchildren: Stevie (Travis) Graves, Danielle (James) Thomas, Garrett (Sarah) Ditto, Callie Ditto, Lindsey (Eric) Lincecum, Holly Hunt (Kyle Montemayor) and her greatgrandchildren: Paige, Trevin, Paityn, Emma, Kinsley, Graham, Sawyer, Cole and Harper, her brother Jim Cearley and sister-in-law Bonnie Cearley; along with numerous cousins and nieces and nephews she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Newton Cearley and Katie Mae Grisham Cearley; her husband Alton Ditto; and her siblings: Kent Cearley and Ted Cearley.
Pallbearers will be Joe Ditto, Stephen Ditto, Garrett Ditto, Jimmy Cearley, Craig Matthews and Tim Plew.
