Words cannot express the joy I have for being able to reconnect with Shirley when I moved back to West Texas for a few years. My husband, James, and I greatly enjoyed the visits with her and Bonnie; Shirley and I had so much fun reminiscing about family visits in the 70's and 80's. Especially wonderful was being able to ply her for information about family...she loved to tell stories about Dad, which I never tired of hearing. The bowls she gave me are some of my most treasured possessions...so much love and memories in them. I wish I had thought to pester Shirley and Cloetta into teaching me how to bake and decorate cakes when I was in high school. The lessons would have been oh so much more than simply baking. She will always be loved and missed.
