Sherry Brookshire, 59, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Midland Memorial Hospice Inpatient Unit. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Fairmont Park Church of Christ with Don Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. She was born in Midland, TX, on November 21, 1952, to Bill and Mary Brand. Sherry loved dancing, fishing, hunting, Walt Disney movies, and decorating for different holidays. She was a Unit Coordinator at Midland Memorial Hospital for twenty plus years. Sherry was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandma Sherry, and great-grandmother and was dearly loved by those who knew her. Her most enjoyable moments were spent surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed.She is survived by her two sons, Billy and wife Tammy Brookshire of Midland; Gary and wife Jennifer Brookshire of Midland; mother, Mary Brand of Midland; life partner, Glenn Hyden of Big Spring; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer and Dustin Arras; Crystal and Bobby Madron; Stevie and CJ Neely; Hillary and Joseph Terry; Hope Brookshire; Jonathan Brookshire; Chyanne Brookshire; Trenton Brookshire; and Auston Brookshire; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diana and Randy Reynolds; and Teresa Myers. She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Brand.
