Shawna Gail Ellison, 39, of Big Spring, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 24, 2022, at Life Church.

She was born January 20, 1982 in Stanton, Texas. Shawna was a lifelong resident of Howard County and graduated from Borden County High School in 2000. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed arts and crafts and was an advocate for suicide awareness.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Atkinson; one son, Saul Moreno; two daughters, Samaura Moreno and Evayne Moreno; her parents, Patty and Dusty Choate and Brian and Jerri Ellison; two sisters and one brother, Jessica Reel, Kevin Ellison and wife, Rayna, and Ashley Ellison; her maternal grandmother, Lois Ellison; and three nieces, Elaina DeAx, Isabelle Reel and Eva Day.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Ellison; and her maternal grandparents, Jim and Gail Hale.
