Shane Kemper, 44, of Big Spring, died Thursday, July 27, 2017 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. David Morgan and Brian Marlar officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, July 31, 2017 at the funeral home.Shane was born November 17, 1972 in Big Spring and married Shaundra Walker October 10, 2010 in Big Spring.Shane graduated from Borden County High School in 1991 and received his Registered Nursing degree from Midland College. He had worked for Scenic Mountain Medical Center, the Big Spring VA Medical Center and was currently working for GEO Group in the medical department.Shane was an avid golfer, a hardcore Pittsburg Steeler fan and a Texas Ranger fan. He loved any activity Kaylee was involved with and going to the movie theater with Scarlet. He enjoyed dove hunting with his family and loved life.Survivors include his wife, Shaundra Kemper; two daughters, Kaylee Kemper and Scarlet Kemper; his mother and step-father, Brenda and Richard Wilkinson; one brother, Klint Kemper and wife, Monica and their children, Halen and Luis Casillas; his grandparents, Juanita and Bill Briley; nine aunts and uncles, Aletha and Brian Marlar, Nobie Reid and Kenneth Casbeer, Joe and Jodie Wright, Jimmy Kemper, Boyce and Laura Kemper, Jackie and Jerry Tredaway, Trish Jones, Bill and Denise Jackson, and Johnny and Tracy Jackson; and his mothers and fathers-in-law, Connie and Mike Shaw and Wendell and Charla Walker.He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Kemper; his grandparents, Myra and Velah Kemper; his grandfather, Billy Wayne Jackson; and an aunt, Sherry Jones.The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
