Severa "Tia Sarah" Roman, 73, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, July 30, 2006, at her residence. A rosary will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 7:00 PM, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, August 3, 2006 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.She was born on May 4, 1933, in Big Spring, Texas.Severa was a lifelong resident of Big Spring. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved to read. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed baseball. Tia Sarah never met a stranger and was loved by all. She enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.Survivors include one sister, Sulema Delgado of Big Spring; four nephews and one niece who she loved as her own children, Andy Gamboa of Ft Worth, David Gamboa, Ruben Gamboa both of Big Spring, George Roman of Ft. Worth, and Sylvia Gamboa of San Antonio; and other numerous nephews and nieces.
