Savannah Almazan, 65, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022. No services are planned.

She was born October 29, 1957 in Bronte, Texas to Armilda (Looney) and Matthew Caperton. She was described as having a “green thumb”. She loved children and her dog Pepper.

She is survived by her ex-husband: Mel Almazan, Jr., two sons: Matthew Almazan and Anthony Almazan and one daughter: Amanda Sturgeon, all of Big Spring; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren along with one sister: Janet Hickman and one brother: Mark Caperton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Matthew Goaooe, Jr.

Savanah, I am definitely going to miss you. We shared some good laughs. I will cherish the "D" necklace you gave me on my birthday. It was never a dull moment with you-while I was managing the apartments. We always had to go help you look for Pepper. He was our complex pet, even after changing jobs I was still able to keep in contact with you through the BSHA. Our visit even at the nursing home was memorable. I will greatly miss you.
