Saul S. Bernal, Sr., 62, of Midland passed away July 6, 2022.
Saul was born on April 9, 1960 to Trinidad and Martin Bernal in San Vicente Coah. Mexico. He was a well-known brick contractor for over 30 years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, tending to his cattle, and taking care of his ranch. Saul enjoyed spending time with his family and best friends. He never met a stranger while out in public. He had a wonderful sense of humor and very compassionate about his animals. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand where it was needed. Not only was he a man of God, but a man of his word. His hand shake was as good as gold.
Saul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosa Bernal, Sita Bernal (daughter), Saul Bernal Jr. (son), and his wife Theresa Bernal, Héctor Bernal (son), and Savanna Briones (daughter) and her husband Carlos Briones. He is survived by seven grandchildren and two grand dogs Lulu and Bo, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Maria Lopez.
Pallbearers will be Juan Gamboa, Billy Marentes, Adam Fuentes, Michael Fuentes, Adan Mejia, and Miguel Lozano, and honorary pallbearer is Usbaldo Lozano.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 am, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Iglesia Bautista Monte Sinai. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
