Sandra Peavey Nolen, 67, of Midland passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at her residence after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2007, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church with Father James Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A rosary and visitation will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at St. Stephen's. Sandra was born February 18, 1939, in Bangor, Maine, to Russell and Geneva Peavey. Sandra attended Mt. Ida Junior College in Newton, Massachusetts, and she continued to be a strong supporter of the college throughout her life. She was involved with Meals on Wheels, St. Ann's Catholic Church Altar Society, and the Girl Scouts. Sandra loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and animals, and had a special fondness for horses. She also loved entertaining friends and family during the summer at her home at Sandy Point, Maine, overlooking Penobscot Bay. But most of all, Sandra was a woman of great faith, who loved Jesus and was devoted to His Blessed Mother, Mary.Survivors include her husband, Ken Nolen; four children; Lynne Davis and husband, Fred; Mark Nolen and wife, Donna; Laurie Messer and husband, Bart; Linda Young-Owens and husband, Doug; and thirteen grandchildren, Lauren and Joseph Young, Emily and Amanda Owens, Russell, Richard, and Hallie Messer, Miranda and Trey Davis, Justin, Christopher and Casey Nolen and Patrick Klinke; one great-grandchild, Carter Ryan Nolen; two nephews, Michael and Marc Grock.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Forrest Peavey.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to: American Cancer Society, 2304 W.
