Ruth Marie Jackson, 59, of Big Spring, passed from this life to the next, Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, March 13, 2015 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ken McIntosh, officiating.Ruth was born December 30, 1955 in Waco, Texas and married Daniel Jackson April 21, 1979 in Houston.She was an accomplished musician and taught both primary and secondary music education in Houston and Big Spring. She graduated from Phoenix University with her Master's in Music Curriculum. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she formerly served as their choir director and piano accompanist. Ruth had also served as the organist for a brief time at the First United Methodist Church in Big Spring.Ruth is survived by her husband, Daniel Jackson of Big Spring; one daughter, Rebecca Thompson and husband, Adrian of Singleton; two grandchildren, Christopher Thompson and Isabella Thompson; one son, Johnathan Jackson of San Diego, California; her father, John S. Vale of Ingram; one brother, John Vale, and wife, Cheryl of Grand Prairie; one niece, Heather Robertson and husband, Aaron; and nephews, Shawn Vale, Chris Vale and wife, Nancy, and Matthew Vale and wife, Kristen.She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte R.
