Ruth Eubanks, 87, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on January 7, 1917, in Jacksonville, Texas and married C. R. "Jack" Eubanks on September 19, 1937 in Jacksonville, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1997. Mrs. Eubanks had lived in Big Spring since 1946. She retired from the Big Spring State Hospital and had worked at the Jet Drive-in. She was a member of the Big Spring VA Medical Center Volunteers and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Ray and Pat Eubanks of Lewisville, Kentucky; three grandsons, Jeff Eubanks of San Francisco, California, Craig Eubanks of Dallas, and Matt Eubanks of Denton, and three sisters, Olive Hanson, Colon Moore, and Verda Moler all of Troup. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael Ray and James Ray Eubanks; four brothers and one sister. The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
