Ruth B. Holmes, 90, of Midland, died Thursday, February 12, 2009. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am, Monday, February 16, 2009 at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland with Dr. John Gerlach, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.Survivors include son James C. Holmes of Midland; daughter, Belinda Pyle of Graham; son Larry Wayne Holmes of Midland; brother, W.R. Banks of Big Spring; sister, Shirley Rogers of Corona, Michigan; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband, James E. Holmes; mother and father; 4 brothers, Pete, Jake, Jack and Clyde.
