Ruth A. Fallis, 70, of Midland, died on Sunday, July 13, 2008, in a local hospital. Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2008 between the hours of 6-8 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 North Big Spring St. Midland, Texas 79705. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Second Baptist church with Rev. Tom Revilla officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Neitzler, Mike Shepherd, James Gibson, Kenneth Swanson, Kenneth Moten and Mike McLain. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park of Midland.Ruth was born on June 10, 1938, in Spring Hill, Louisiana to Walter Homer Burrow and Alice "Angie" Stapler Burrow. Ruth married Jasper Fallis in June 1978 in Midland, Texas and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2001.Ruth held a Real Estate License for over 20 years; She kept up with college and professional sports and loved to travel to places like Mexico, the Caribbean, Las Vegas and Shreveport. She retired from the Midland Police Department after 15 years of dedicated service. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids and thought the world of them. She was actively involved in everything they did including sports, band and school activities. She attended Second Baptist Church of Midland, Texas. Survivors include daughter, Vicki Stone and future husband Jerry Knight of Midland, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, Ron & Brenda Morton of Abilene, Texas; step daughter & husband; Kim & Kyle Munson of Flower Mound, Texas; seven grandchildren, Terry Gray of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; Philip Byars and wife Amy of Suffolk, Virginia; Coni Walton and husband Jason of Lamesa, Texas; Brian Morton and fiancé Taylor Brooks of Abilene, Texas; Lacy Easley and husband Michael of Midland, Texas; Samantha Munson of Flower Mound, Texas; Brendon Munson of Flower Mound, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and 10 great-grandchildren.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Lena Faye (Sis) Watts, Gracie "Eulene" Rice and Angie "Pearle" Lee, and brothers; Walter "Holland" Burrow and Willie 'Bill" Burrow.
