Russell Wayne Price was born on January 22, 1949 in Midland, Texas to the late Christine Price and Nathaniel Davis. He departed this life on May 13, 2016. Russell will be in state on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00AM at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Midland with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.He was a 1967 graduate of Carver High School and furthered his education to Lubbock Christian University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management. His professional work experience includes over 20 years in public service for the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission, Co-Founder of Wee Care Learning Center, Real Estate Investor and Farmers Insurance Agent. At the time of his death, he was an active board member of Wells Fargo Bank.He was a faithful servant of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church and served in several capacities until his health declined: Deacon, Finance Committee, head of Christian Education and Men’s Chorus. He had a passion to serve others and give back to the community.Russell is survived by his loving wife, Helen Price, of 25 years; three sons, Stephen Price (Jessica) of San Angelo, Texas, Robert Morris (Miriam) of Midland, Texas, and Braggston Morris of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Tyra Clemons (Kerry) of Grand Prairie, Texas; four sisters, Dana Prince and Phyllis Lewis (Larry) of Midland, Texas, Deborah Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and DeRinda Williams (Terry) of Ontario, California; four brothers, Ricky and Randy Prince (Tressa) of Midland, Texas, Gary Davis of Henderson, Nevada and Johnny Davis (Julia)of Teague, Texas; eight grandchildren, seven God-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family would like to thank Texas Oncology and Hospice Midland for all that they did for Russell and his family.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
