Dear Family, I received a letter from Lillian notifying me of Rucker's passing. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Rucker and Doris always stayed in touch with my parents (Dale and Allene Penrod) and I am so grateful for that. Mother is still living at age 95 and also sends her condolences to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. LuAnn

Dear Howard and Gayle, I've never met a person kinder then your dad. He always had a smile on his face and lived life to the fullest. I just had the pleasure of seeing him at the post office just one week ago. He dropped his keys on the way out the door but didn't realize it. I picked them up and took them to him, you would have thought I handed him a gold brick. With a bright smile and nice rosey cheeks, his hair combed perfectly and looking half his age, he said "Darlin that is so kind of you - do we know each other?" I reminded him of our soccer days and living down the street from you all - He said "Aww those were fun days" at that he wished me a good day, got in his car and drove off into the sunset. That is how I will remember him, happy . . sitting on a beautiful green field, watching a soccer game with a smile on his face. I'm glad we got to know him. Mark and I will keep you and your family in our thoughts and our prayers. Much love, Karen

Howard, I just read about the passing of Howard this morning. I've been out of town and I'm leaving on business again today. I'm sorry I won't be able to see you or go to the services, but if I was in town you know I would be there. Your dad was one of my favorites.........true "old school". I learned a lot and had a lot of respect for him. He always treated me with respect too(even though I was an architect). DeLayne and I will keep you and our family in our thoughts and prayers. Mark
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
