Rucker Butts, 85, of Midland passed away on Friday, June 1, 2007 at his residence. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Ronnie White officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.He was born July 29, 1921 in Emmitt County, Kansas to John William Butts and Belva Rucker Butts. He married Doris Elaine Howard on February 15, 1944 in Walnut Creek, California. They moved to Midland in 1951 from Santa Fe, New Mexico. He owned and operated Butts Lath & Plastering Company in Midland for 50 years. He was a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 30, 1998; his parents; 1 daughter; and 4 sisters: Agnes Hester, Elizabeth Marrison, Viola Trocke, and Launa McKay.He is survived by his son: Howard Butts and wife Gayle of Midland; 2 daughters: Audrey Fowler and husband Bryan of Laguna Hills, CA and Dolores Randolph of Austin; brother: John W. Butts, Jr. and wife Evelyn of Siloam Springs, OK; 8 grandchildren: Kimberly Horn and husband William of Parker, CO, Brad Randolph and wife Judith of Round Rock, Sean Fowler of Laguna Hills, CA, Kelley Fowler and David of Laguna Hills, CA, Kenye Kay Tranum and husband Derek of Midland, Devin, Britton, and Brennan Butts, all of Midland; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.,
