Ruby L. Timberlake left her home on this earth to go to her everlasting life on February 4, 2010. She was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on June 22, 1926, to Louis and Evie Banes. Ruby married Dan Timberlake in 1954 in Louisiana. They moved to Odessa, Texas in 1956 where she resided until September of 2005, before moving to Midland. Her husband preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Timberlake is survived by her devoted son, David Depew and his wife Betty of Midland; a brother, J.D. Banes of Houston; her granddaughter, Carrie Galvan and great granddaughter, Jordyn Evie Galvan, both of Richardson, Texas. Ruby enjoyed meeting new people and making them laugh with the many jokes and stories that she liked to tell. Her friends described her as "one of a kind". She was admired for her talent for gardening, making just about anything grow. Ruby was a long time member of the Fellowship order of Eastern Star of Odessa, Texas. Her family would like to thank the many caregivers of Compass Hospice for all of the warm-hearted love and care that they provided to her and to her family as well.
