Roy W. Longshore, 72, of Big Spring, died on Friday, August 22, 2003, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, Big Spring, with Rev. Matt Miles, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. He was born on March 10, 1931, in San Angelo, Texas.Mr. Longshore had owned and operated an electrical contracting business in Forsan before retiring. He was a Presbyterian and had served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was a big supporter of West Texas Boys Ranch in San Angelo.Survivors include a cousin, Cecile McDonald of Sterling City; several nieces and nephews; two step sons, Paul Guinn of Brownwood and Aubrey Lepold Guinn of Homer, Louisiana; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of friends and family that love him. He was preceded in death by his father, Larkin Longshore and by his mother, Tiny Longshore. The family suggests memorials to: West Texas Boys Ranch, 10223 Boys Ranch Road, San Angelo, Texas 76904-9989.
