Roy was one of the nicest young me I ever met. He was dating Dorothy Pinkerton at the time, so there was no chance for anyone else. I watched him play football all during our high school years and enjoyed it very much. My deepest condolences to Dorothy and the faminly. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Celebrating a gentle spirit in a big Texas Cowboy Body! Remembering his gentle easy smile and his clear eyes, a twinkle in, as he looked with pride and love on his beloved Dorothy. My deepest sympathy to Dorothy and all their family. Praying for your peace, Shirley Watts Brown

When I think of Roy my first thoughts are "calm, cool, and collected". He was a powerful man with a quiet demeanor who gained your respect and trust easily. Men of Roy's caliber are rare and he will be missed by all who knew him. Heartfelt condolences to Dorothy and all his family and friends.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Roy was one of the kindest people I ever knew. I have known his family since I was a little girl in grade school. I went to school with both he and Dorothy and his sister Jean for all our Midland School years. He will be missed even though his spirit is with us as we live the rest of each of our days. May the angels fly with you and give you peace.Sue

One of my favorite memories of Roy since I returned to Midland from California: I had complained on line about a mean squirrel. A big pickup drove up and I was startled to see a great big cowboy with a gun get out. It was Roy coming to kill my mean squirrel, which we couldn't find that day. If you were Roy's friend, you were in good hands! So many will miss this fine gentleman.
