Rosie B. Cunningham Jackson, 84, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Midland. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00AM at Greater Ideal Baptist Church in Midland. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Caesar Terry Brannon II, Billy Wright, Donnell Marshall, Johnny Cunningham, Willie Wilson, Jr., John Lusk, and Arthur Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Lusk, Cain Cunningham, Alfred Colvin, Daniel Colvin and Tommy Colvin.Rosie was born on April 21, 1930 to Walter and Julia Brown in Washington County, Texas. Rosie was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She loved doing puzzles and taking care of her plants. She made an incredible cheesecake and would always cook for her large family. Rosie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was passionate about helping others and was very giving. She was a strong woman with a soft spot for her Dallas Cowboys. She had a huge heart and a love for life. Rosie will be missed by many, but forgotten by none.She is survived by her daughter, Alice Brannon of Midland; daughter, Inez Eaden and husband, Roy of Midland; daughter, Emma Lusk and husband, Larry of Midland; son, Arthur Cunningham and wife, Celo of Midland; daughter-in-law, Faye Cunningham of Midland; son, Johnny Cunningham of Austin; daughter, Marie Cunningham of San Diego, CA; daughter, Lestine Cunningham of San Diego, CA; step-daughter, Rita Jackson of Odessa; one sister, Willie Mae Graves of Midland. 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Hoover I. Jackson; son, Samuel Cunningham; step-daughter, Debra Jackson; granddaughter, Terra Brannon Jones; granddaughter, Victoria Brannon; great-grandson, Jayden Jones; three brothers, Johnny Walter Davis, Curtis Davis and Sylvester Davis; and two sisters, Mosazel Davis and Lola Mae Davis.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2304 W Wadley Ave, Midland, TX 79705 or to a charity of choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
