Rosemary Prigmore Schwope

Rosemary Prigmore Schwope, age 88 of Midland, TX died on March 8, 2021.

Services will be at 2 PM, March 12, 2021 at Mid-Cities Community Church, Neely Campus.

Rosemary was born to Alfred & Myrtle Prigmore in Pampa, TX on August 11, 1932.  She attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Pampa Junior High, and graduated from Pampa High in 1951.

She worked at the Personnel Office of Celanese in Pampa, TX when it first opened.  She graduated from Midland Community College and got her license as a Vocational Nurse in 1981.  She worked for Midland Memorial Hospital and then retired from Coronado Hospital in Pampa, TX in 1993.

She lived in Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri and Texas.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pampa where she helped start Thee Place, a singles ministry.  Eventually, she settled in Midland, TX to be near her children and grandchildren.

Rosemary is survived by her sister Betty Stovall of Pampa, and her children, Charlotte (Mike) Glenn of Midland; Robert-Deceased (Faith) Schwope of Grand Prairie; Cheryl (Fred) Osbin of White Deer; Richard (Kathy) Schwope of Midland and Ronald Schwope of Midland.  Grandchildren Rebecca (Brian) Williams; Jeremy Glenn; Sara Glenn; Jessica (Chris) Buchanan; Malcom Hall; Sarah Stokes; Daniel Schwope; Kaysandra (Daniel) Thompson; Lucas Schwope; Leah (Mason) Griffin; Elizabeth Schwope, also 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Her parents, her son Robert, a grandchild and a great grandchild preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the missions’ ministry of your choice.
