Rosemarie Welborn, 84, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Midland. Graveside services will be on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Midland.Rosemarie was born on January 1, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Russell and Bernadine Pace. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1957 where she met and later married Bobby Welborn in 1963. Together they made their life and home in Houston until he preceded her in death in Feb 2001. In August 2001, she moved to Midland to be near her son, Bobby. She loved to play Texas Hold 'Em and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #19, for whom she served as the Chaplain and the Chair of the Bingo Committee.Rosemarie was a retiree of Exxon Mobil.She is survived by her son, Bobby and wife, Terri Welborn; grandson, Matthew Jeffrey Welborn and wife, Jessica.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1779, Newport Beach, CA 92659, Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702, or St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4601 Neely AVE, Midland, TX 79707.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
