Rosemarie Speaker, 76, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in a Midland nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the funeral home.Rosemarie was born May 20, 1937 in Galesburg, Illinois and married Walter Speaker October 12, 1979 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death November 16, 1999.She worked at Hall-Bennett Hospital as purchasing agent and had worked has a dental assistant and chiropractic assistant. She loved bowling and doing ceramics.Rosemarie was a member of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church.She is survived by three daughters, Christina McCarver and husband, Chip of Midland, Kelly Overton and husband, Randy and Patty Ditto and husband, Joe all of Coahoma; six grandchildren, Randy Overton and wife, Autumn, Sarah Thompson, Michael McCarver, Marc Dale Ditto and wife, Amber, Cody Joe Ditto and wife, Brandi and Justin Scott Ditto and wife, Magali; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Williamson and husband, Bill of Big Spring; two brothers, Roy Sloan and wife, Marie of Colorado City and Tom Sloan and wife, Cee of Illinois and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Donald and Grace Maurine Price Sloan; one brother, Dick Sloan and one sister, Sandy Boyer.The family suggests memorials be made to Star Hospice of Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
