Ronnie Maines, 69, of Coahoma, Texas, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4th, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel; visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
Ronnie was born on July 6, 1956, in Snyder, Texas, to Billy G. and Doris (Cherry) Maines. He worked many years in the oil industry before retiring to become a full-time Dallas Cowboys fan.
A loving husband, father, and “Papaw,” Ronnie had a gift for making people laugh. He was proud of his five adoring grandchildren, and he would never miss an opportunity to spend time with them. Ronnie also made a killer brisket, something his family and friends will always remember fondly.
In his free time, Ronnie enjoyed watching sports of every kind, admiring classic cars, and, most of all, spoiling his family. He made sure that no one ever left his house hungry, always ready to feed and care for those he loved. His loyal dog, Pepe, will surely miss the ear scratches and treats that Ronnie so often gave.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Leisa “Lou” Maines; children, Lori Jean Maines and Jack Maines (Genessa); grandchildren, Ashton Aguilar, Avery Aguilar, Aiden Aguilar, Matthew Maines, and Jackson Maines; in-laws, Randall and Leota Reid; his beloved dog, Pepe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Doris Maines; his sister, Pat Parrish; and best dog known to man, Wylie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory of Big Spring, Texas. Online condolences may be shared atwww.npwelch.com.
