Ronald (Ronnie) Wayne Nickell went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 15, 2023 at the age of 68. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM February 21, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 N Big Spring St. in Midland, with a reception immediately following at the Branch at npw.
Ronnie was born in Tulsa Oklahoma January 15, 1955 to Carolyn and Wayne Nickell. If you knew Ronnie, you knew he had a big heart! He enjoyed being outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, wood working and riding his Harley with his friends all over the country. Ronnie loved creating handmade items such as canes and other objects. Most of the time these gifts were made from wood and deer antlers and were beautiful. Ronnie loved to give gifts he had made by hand and that made them even more special. Ronnie truly loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Ronnie was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was Papa Nickell to his grandkids, and most recently became a great grandfather.
Our lives will not be the same without his big smile and infectious laughter. Our hearts are crushed, but not broken because we will carry his memory with us.
Ronnie is preceded in death, by his mother Carolyn Nickell.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to mourn about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have died in Him.
