Ronald Leslie Strong passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at Midland Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park. He was born on September 19, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas to Woodrow and Wanda Strong. He married Peggy Lou Mitchell on February 10, 1973 in Amarillo, Texas. Ronald and his wife Peggy owned and ran a roller skating rink in Pampa, Texas for many years. He always enjoyed having fun with all of the kids and making sure they had the latest at the rink. He was not only a father to his two children, Kathryn and Anthony but he became a father to so many of the kids at the skating rink. Ronald was the District Director for the Texas Railroad Commission, owned Texas Consultant Services and was a geologist by trade. Ronald was a very hard worker and always made sure that his family was provided for. He was fun, loving, kind, gentle, and very sweet spirited. Ronald was never too busy to stop what he was doing to help someone or simply to just listen. He loved spending time with his family and especially getting to spend quality time with each of his grandchildren that called him Pa. He was their constant, their rudder, and most of all to the woman that he loved and adored more than anything his wife Peggy he was her rock. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lou Strong; son, Anthony Kyle Strong and wife Latisha; daughter, Kathryn Strong Hardaway and husband Miles; grandchildren, Dalton James Hardaway, Travis Mitchell Hardaway, Revyn Janai Strong, Rylan Gage Strong, and Rush Jaxyn Strong; siblings, Bobby Strong, Steve Strong, Sheri Lang and Cyndi Hill.
