Ronald Lee Gross

Ronald Lee Gross, 74, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, formerly of Big Spring, passed away on May 21, 2024. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ft. Cavazos Army Honor Guard presenting honors.

Ronald was born on July 21, 1949, in Big Spring Texas to Betty and J.C. Gross. He grew up in Big Spring, Texas and as a young adult lived in Austin where he graduated from Travis H.S and was a lead guitarist in several rock bands. He joined the Army and proudly served our country. After finishing his career in the armed forces, Ronald followed in his father’s footsteps and became a master plumber, eventually owning Gross Plumbing in Big Spring. In 1976, he married the love of his life, Marsha, and they had two daughters. He enjoyed playing baseball, watching his favorite team” Dallas Cowboys” play football. He enjoyed playing his guitars and listening to music, especially the Eagles. In the early 2000’s Ron went to work as a pipe fitter for the VA hospital in Big Spring. He retired in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Ronald is survived by his wife Marsha Gross of Alamogordo; daughters Amanda Gross also of Alamogordo, Denise Gross and fiancé Scott Lindsey of Alamogordo; one brother Scott Gross of Amarillo; ten grandchildren (Bryan, Zachary, Nicholas, Jaybob, Reagan, Andrew and Austin Lawrence) along with (Destiny Gross, Hailey and Nathan Demine); five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronald is preceded in death by parents JC and Betty Gross, aunts and uncles, and a nephew.
