Ronald Glenn Wade, 68, of Midland, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 5:00-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, December 30, 2013, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Chaplain Robert Kirk officiating.Ron was born March 28, 1945, to James and Hilda Wade in Fairfield, Iowa. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1963 and received his BA degree in accounting from Parsons College in 1967. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Carol Biles, on February 12, 1966. He served with the Iowa National Guard, 34th Army Band from 1962 to 1970.Ron started his career with Hy-Vee Food Stores in Chariton, Iowa in 1967 and rose to the position of Divisional Controller. In 1983, Ron decided he wanted to enter public accounting and purchased a practice in Midland. In order to better serve his clients, Ron passed the CPA exam and received his license in 1993. For the last 30 years he has continued to serve his clients to the best of his ability and considered them to be his friends.He was a member of AICPA and TSCPA, where he held various offices at the local and state level. Ron was also a Mason and a Shriner with Abu Bekr Temple.Survivors include his wife, Carol Wade of Midland, Texas; daughter, Kristen and husband, David Henry of Dallas, Texas; and son, Steven and wife, Holli Wade of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Zachary and McKenzie Wade; and 1 granddog, Maddie. He is also survived by a sister, Joyce Jeffrey of Fairfield, Iowa.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Foster.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be donated to Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702; Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals, PO Box 50426, Midland, TX 79710: or Shriners Hospitals for Children International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL.,
