Ronald Glen Grant, age 55, passed away on March 17, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.He was born on March 11, 1953 to Loyd Grant and Wanell Hudson Bowyer in Abilene, TX. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1971 and Hardin-Simmons University in 1977. He married Carla Grant in 1985.Ron worked for Abraxas Petroleum for 25 years. He was an avid gun collector, and enjoyed building gunstocks, and refurbishing old guns.He is preceded in death by his father, Loyd Grant and his stepfather, Mac Bowyer.He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Grant; his 3 daughters – Stefanie Neyland and husband, Mayo Neyland, Jennifer Grant and Staci Grant; his grandson, Will Neyland and grandson-to-be, Chanden Grant Armstrong. He is also survived by his siblings ? sister, Rebecca Dossey and husband, James; brother, Randy Grant; sister, Ralinda Yancey and husband, Bruce; sister, Rachel Vieceli and husband, Joe; and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 7:00 ? 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Western Roses Memorial Park, Inc., 4100 North FM 1788 in Midland, TX.
