It was a sad day when J Ron informed us of Ronnie's passing. I'd spoken to Ronnie on many occasions, and we emailed frequently. Many of us at Clocksmiths will miss his humorous comments. I regret that I never met him personally. I know how much he missed his wife, JoAnn. She once asked my wife and me to pray for Ronnie. They were so much in love, and she knew her time was near. Ronnie, my friend, I'll gladly carry the torch against those pesky cuckoo clocks. All of us at Clocksmiths will keep alive his unique signature, "Right in the middle of a cuckoo clock repair and without any warning what-so-ever, I paused to post some unsolicited wisdom from the Bowen outhouse located in Midland, Texas: RONNIE...ó¿ò¬" Ern Grover - Harrisonburg, VA - Clocksmiths.io Co-Owner

I am sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. He was a great help with a couple of clock repair problems I had over the years and it was always a pleasure to read his posts on the Clocksmiths mail list.

For years, I knew Ronnie on the Clocksmiths discussion group, and enjoyed the “wit and wisdom”. I’ll miss that, and I send condolences to his family. Banjo? I never knew about that facet. I’m a fiddler myself.

He was a nice man. He showed me all through his shop. I was amazed at the work he did. He could fix anything.
