Ronald Dean "Ron" Fryar, 68, of Big Spring, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rick Cunningham, minister of 14th and Main Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. He was born to J.W. and Imogene Fryar on February 13, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He loved working as a route salesman until he retired in the late 70's. He belonged to the Church of Christ. Ron loved life, "cutting up" and was quite the jokester. He loved yardwork, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.Survivors include one son, Ron Fryar, Jr. of Lufkin; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lesley and Craig Chandler and Ronetta Fryar all of Big Spring, Rhea and Jesse Calvert of Durango, Colorado and Rocshell and Jerry Garcia of Greenwood; one sister and brother-in-law, Bernell and Tiny Bayes of Sand Springs; three brothers and sisters-in-law, his twin, Roland and Sara Fryar and Claud and Patsy Fryar all of Big Spring and Tommy and Donna Fryar of Austin; and nine grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Cody, Jessica, Kaleena, Jerry Jr., Laura, Breiann, and Daniel. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Imogene Fryar; a son, Bradley Keith Fryar; and a sister, Ida Lou Beall. Pallbearers will be, Jay Fryar, Clayton Fryar, Jim Fryar, Eddie Bayes, Gary Bayes and Joe Paul Beall. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
