Ronald (Ronnie) Glenn Brice, 86 of Midland, passed away on November 4, 2026. Services will be Tuesday November 10, 2026 at noon at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
Ronnie was born in Odessa, Texas on October 7, 1940 to Glenn and Katherine Brice. Ronnie spent his childhood living in Humble Oil camps in Penwell, TX settling at the Humble Oil Camp at Florey Park North of Andrews, TX. Ronnie attended Andrews High School where he graduated in 1959. Ronnie excelled in academics and sports. He was the class favorite, class president, honor roll student and Salutatorian. He enjoyed playing basketball, running track and especially playing football. He was on the track team when Andrews won the state title and was all state quarterback his senior year.
He continued his academic career and love of football playing quarterback at Texas A&M University, a place that remained an important part of his life story. Following his graduation from A&M, he proudly served his country in the Army at Fort Bliss in Oklahoma, demonstrating the same commitment and sense of duty that he carried throughout his life.
Ronnie married the love of his life (Linda) in Hobbs, NM in 1967. In 1968 Ronnie & Linda moved to Midland, Texas, where daughter Kimberly was born in 1969. The same year they moved to Houston, Texas where son Randy was born in 1972. In 1974 the family moved back to Midland where Ronnie started Brice Equipment Company. He ran the company with his son until his retirement in 2014.
Ronnie was a confident, determined and positive person with a great sense of humor. Above all his accomplishments, Ronnie’s greatest legacy was the love he shared with his family and friends. He treasured those closest to him and built relationships that spanned generations. His kindness, friendship, stories and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Randy Brice (Shannan) of Midland, sisters Sandra Betenbough of Weatherford, TX, Debbie Cosgrove (Ed) of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren Kameryn Mullinex (Remington) of Colorado Springs, CO, Brice Ables of Granbury, TX, Brody Ables of Camarillo, CA, Kimberly Brice of Lubbock, TX, great granddaughters Kimberly, Karson and Riley Mullinex of Colorado Springs, CO, and son in law Steve Ables of Granbury, TX. He is preceded in death by parents Glenn and Katherine Brice, beloved wife Linda Chanley Brice and his cherished daughter Kimberly Ann Brice Ables, great granddaughter Reagan Mullinex, sister Pat Grice, nephew Tommy Gatlin and niece Teresa Betenbough Hindle.
Though his long and successful journey through life has come to an end, the love he gave, the friendships he built, and the memories he created will live on through the many people who loved him. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the family and friends who supported us during his brave and long battle with cancer. The family ask for any donations to go to American Cancer Society.
