Roland Glenn Cate, 54, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in a Lubbock hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Elwin Collom, chaplain with Home Hospice, officiating.He was born on November 2, 1952, in Big Spring, Texas and married Patty Watkins in 1971 in Big Spring.Glenn enjoyed team roping. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 2 grandkids. He was a Baptist.Survivors include his wife, Patty Cate of Big Spring; one son, Kevin Cate of Midland; one daughter, Erika Cate of Big Spring; his parents, June and Gladene Cate of Big Spring; one grandson, Gabe Cate of Big Spring; one granddaughter, Kisa Glynn of Big Spring; one sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Bobby Boyett of Olden; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Terri Cate of Big Spring; nieces and nephews, Shannon Scarlett, Sonia Scarlett, Richard Neefe, Teria Dedmon, Dana Hudgins, Jennifer Cate, and Jeffrey Cate and a number of great nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
