Roger Wayne Park, 62, of Big Spring, departed this life after losing his battle with cancer, at 12:35 P.M., Saturday, July 22, 2006, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Following the service, the family will have a private family burial at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends and family from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the funeral home.He was born in Big Spring on July 9, 1944 to Henry and Estill Park. He attended and graduated from Forsan High School. Roger married Linda Smith on July 30, 1975. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and wonderful grandfather. He worked in the oil field for 41 years and at the time of his death, he was employed by Atkins Supply Company. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.Roger is survived by his wonderful wife, Linda; one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Mike Speck, of Big Spring; one son, Kevin Park, of Midland; two grandsons, Brantley Cahoon and Gage Speck; two step-grandsons, Casy and Colt Speck; his in-laws, Jake and Jean Smith, all of Big Spring; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Pepita Park, of Beverly Hills, Florida, Fred and Diane Park, of Lubbock, and Steve and Judy Park, of Big Spring; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Diane and Randy Biggers, of Levelland and Debra and Mike Lowder, of Midland; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Jay and Brenda Smith, of Levelland and Randy and Donna Duncan, of Lovington, New Mexico; along with several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eva and two brothers-in-law, Terry and Woody Duncan.The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, % Diane Woods, P.
