Roger Harris Fleckenstein, 83, of Stanton, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Stanton. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Roger was born March 18, 1939 in Ranger, Texas to Mary Frances (Granger) and Edwin Regis Fleckenstein. He moved to Stanton in 1962 and retired from Caprock Electric after 30 years of service. He married Wilma Faye Ramsey April 7, 1958 in Colorado City, Texas. He was a square dance teacher/caller for 20 years. He also worked with the 4-H Club. He enjoyed wood working, golfing, watching grandkids play sports and he never missed an event.
He is survived by his wife Faye Fleckenstein,; one son: Ricky Fleckenstein and wife Laurie and daughter Cheryl Cook and husband Kenneth; grandchildren: Keith and Jana Cook, Karyn Pylant, Ramsey and Holly Fleckenstein and Rachel and Coner McKown; great great-grandchildren: Kanyon Pylant, Koda Pylant, Kody Cook, Kase Cook, Lillian Fleckenstein, Cleg Fleckenstein and Lyndon Fleckenstein and a nephew Terry Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Annetta Montgomery and a great granddaughter Katy-Jo Cook.
