Rocky Wayne Allen, 83 of Big Spring, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his residence. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Nalley Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Malcolm Pointon, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Rocky was born on November 3, 1935, in Abilene, Texas to Leonard and Lona Allen. He graduated from Colorado City High school in 1954. He married Gina Shurtleff on June 30, 1955 in Colorado City, Texas. Rocky retired from Cosden Refinery after 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, father of three sons Kerry, Kris, and Kirk. He loved the outdoors especially spending time with his family at Possum Kingdom Lake and loved riding his motorcycle. He was a Christian.He is survived by his son Kerry Wayne Allen and wife, Karen Grissam Allen; daughter in law Darlynn Allen all of Big Spring, eight grandsons, Andy Allen and wife, Stacey, Brian Allen and wife Mary Jane, David Allen and wife, Nicole, Ashley Lynn and Shane Allen, Will Allen, Caleb Allen and wife, Ana, Marissa and Kyler Allen, Justin Moss; one granddaughter Jessica Moss; seven great granddaughters, Kobe, Kendall, Annie, Abby, Abigail, Zeta and Natalie; eight great grandsons, Jade, Zachery, Ethan, Jacob, Addikas Kirk, Kyler Jr., Bryson, and Austin.He was preceded in death by his wife Gina Allen, parents Leonard and Lona Allen, and two sons Kris and Kirk Allen.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring, Texas.
