Robin Kay Smith

Robin Kay Smith, age 60 of Big Spring passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 24, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Robin was born on February 6, 1961 in Peru, Indiana to parents Kenny Spencer and Maxine Wilburn. She moved to Texas as a young child and resided here until her passing. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1979 and attended Howard College. She worked various jobs in her career and retired from the State of Texas in 2016. Robin attended church at The First Church of the Nazarene for many years. She enjoyed going out to lunch with her friend, Rhonda Sanders, and taking trips to Walmart. She enjoyed snuggling with her dog Cloie. She enjoyed taking Travis to his travel league baseball tournaments. She enjoyed participating in Girl Scout activities with Kayla. She enjoyed taking both kids to the water park, bowling alley, movie theater, skating rink and Starbucks. She was never one to stay idle long! She was very social and never met a stranger. She was a wonderful sister, mother and aunt. We know that she is rejoicing in Heaven and is dancing to the music as she has been made whole! She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children Kelleigh, Travis and Kayla Smith. Three brothers, Dean Spencer of Kingsland, TX, Kent Spencer and wife Autumn of Greenwood, TX, and Michael Forshee and wife Mary of Big Spring, TX. Sister, Candy Chesworth and husband Pat, of Big Spring, TX. She is survived by nieces Lauren Barber and husband Eric of Coahoma, TX, Jordan Crawford and husband Ricky of Big Spring, Alexis Pool and husband Michael of Greenwood, TX, Michaela Spencer of Midland, TX, Morgan Forshee of Big Spring, TX and nephews Joshua Spencer and wife Autumn of Texas, Justin Forshee and wife Elizabeth of Big Spring, TX, Garrett Spencer of Austin, TX, Chris Spencer and wife Brandy of Texas, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Kenny Spencer, and mother and stepfather, Maxine and Stephen Forshee.

Pallbearers will be Michael and Brian Chesworth, Jimmie Billings, Eric Barber and Ricky Crawford.
