Robert was born on February 14, 1953 at Patrick AFB, Florida to Robert and Theresa Waugh. Growing up in military life, Robert continued with his own military career. With over 20 years of service, he was able to travel to North America and Europe. During his distinguished military career, he earned numerous awards and decorations. He volunteered with the Amigo Air Sho, El Paso, Tx and was made an honorary F-16 Crew Member of the Taco Squadron out of Kirkland AFB. Robert was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He was a volunteer at St. Jude Catholic Church in Alamogordo, NM. Prior to enlisting in the Air Force, he earned an associate’s degree in automotive technology and a BA from Park University after his retirement.
Robert is survived by Robert Waugh Sr. (father), his brothers William Waugh (Chery), Mike Waugh (Carolyn), Stephen Waugh (Holly) and sister Deborah Castellarin (Bill) and brother-in-law Gary Vaden as well as many nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by, Theresa Waugh (mother), Donna Marie Waugh (infant sister) and Diane Vaden (sister).
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Excela Care Hospice, Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez, Texas State Veterans Home staff and residents.
