Robert “Skip” Dale Howland

Robert Dale Howland “Skip” of Big Spring, Texas passed away June 26, 2024. He was born on October 2, 1952 in Big Spring, Texas to Robert L. Howland and Joy L. McNew Howland. Robert married the love of his life DeLois Kay Easterling/Howland on July 22, 1970 in Navasota, Texas, and went on to have 2 children.

He spent his life working on cattle ranches and welding. He loved to be horseback working cattle or just riding the pastures. Years of welding for different companies he was able to meet and help teach young men his art of never busting an x-ray weld. He was always completely honest with everyone even if that meant telling someone that they needed to find another line of work, due to the fact that they could not weld. He did enjoy cooking with his wife Kay on their chuckwagon for several years going to cook offs.

Robert is survived by his wife DeLois Kay Howland, daughter Michelle Crenshaw (Shannon), daughter-in-law Kerri Howland, grandsons Oden Yanez, Skippy Howland, and great granddaughter Aubery Groves.

Robert was preceded in death by his son Robert Dale Howland Jr. “Bo” and parents Robert L. and Joy L. Howland.

Robert/Skip/Dad this loving, care-taking, handsome, hardworking husband, father, and Po, almost stubborn, hard headed man, made a point that he did not want to have a visitation, memorial, or funeral. So in respect for his wishes there will not be any of the above.
